I have actually made them as minis. They work really well. Yes, it’s one hour for the full sized version. I can’t remember how long I baked the minis for but it was less than that.

How do you think these will do as minis? I did see your post on how to convert cupcake sizes, but just curious if you have tried this particular recipe. (Also, the regular size cupcake are to be baked for 1 hour using the cold oven method? I just want to confirm.) Thank you in advance!

It’s more dense than a classic yellow cake.

Pound cake is supposed to be heavy and dense, unlike a traditional cake or cupcake. The leavening in this recipe comes entirely from the eggs. Please see the question in the post, “Why does baking in a cold oven make pound cake cupcakes better?”

Query 2: we always learn to put the pans ready with batter for baking after preheating oven. You’ve mentioned to place the cupcakes in a cold oven, plz explain the science behind it
